Data Analyst/Engineer

The role:

The successful candidate will help to drive the development and delivery of advanced analytics at a well-repsected pharma business. They will contribue to a vision and strategy for innovative data solutions that engages business partners and supports data-driven insights to the business to drive solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Analytics

  • Uses strong analytical awareness to align and mobilise a variety of datasets which effectively answer business challenges eg patient, sales and activity data.
  • Stays informed of healthcare industry trends and developments.

Systems Leadership

  • Engages internally and externally to keep informed and promotes the use of latest technology and tools.
  • Identifies new opportunities to use innovative analytics tools to support business strategy.
  • Deep understanding of the capability of Datamodelling and analytics tools and how these can be leveraged to offer value to the business.
  • Responsible for data ingestion, automation and quality control.
  • Responsible for testing, error handling and resolution.

Data Transformation & Visualisation

  • Provides consulting services to the business regarding the provision and understanding of data & insights.
  • Data ingestion and governance responsibility for a variety of data sets including patient, activity and sales data used by cross-functional teams.
  • Responsible for managing the delivery of ad-hoc insights requests.
  • Responsible for the construction of repositories to support the integration and alignment of new data sets.
  • Responsible for liaising with and managing relationship between stakehokders.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with business customers.
  • Prioritises projects to deliver the most value.
  • Responsible for working closely with various business functions to ensure strategic alignment across the business.
  • Responsible for working in partnership with customer insights partners.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Educated to Degree level or with established development skills/experience using;
    • Python, PySpark, SQL, Big Data Tools.
  • Data Architecture background preferred.
  • Data Management best practice, including Data Lifecycle Management and Data Privacy & Security constraints.
  • Knowledge and previous experience in Datamodelling.
  • Passion for learning new tools, languages and frameworks.
  • A good level of knowledge of enterprise CRM systems and BI Tools.
