We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Applications and Data Analyst to join our team based in Slough, travel to stores may be required, therefore a car and driver's license are needed for this position. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return will receive a competitive salary of £45,000 per annum.

The Business Applications and Data Analyst role will work within the business applications team and will require an individual with a diverse skillset as the role responsibilities will cover all aspects of the business application and data life cycle including project management, design, development, delivery and support of key business application and databases.

The ideal candidate will need to be able to communicate with senior managers and end functions a-like. They will benefit from having the drive to learn more than just the IT side of the business. The post holder will need to be able to work alone or with the team, to scope and deploy new applications and data solutions or changes to existing business applications and databases. The Business Applications and Data Analyst will also be required to create and maintain in-house developed application and database solutions. The core responsibilities will be to ensure the continuity and prompt resolution of business applications and data issues, as well as the timely delivery of any changes to these applications through the change management process.

Key Responsibilities and results of our Business Applications and Data Analyst:

- Resolving issues encountered within in-house applications

- Day to day development and maintenance for Data Warehouse and Reporting

- Participating in the full life cycle of any business application or solution including Scoping, Development, Implementation, Training, Documentation and Testing

- Building and promoting a culture of continuous improvement, increasing the quality of services delivered to our customers and clients

- Promoting innovation and creativity in the use of management information, services, technology and solutions to anticipate and support the changing requirements of the company

- Ensuring that systems are secured and managed within the company Information Security guidelines

- Accurately scoping any changes that need to be carried out by any 3rd parties, as well as testing and test management of any of these changes prior to deployment

Key skills and attributes we are looking for in our Business Applications and Data Analyst:

- A degree or equivalent qualification or experience and evidence of continual professional development.

- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

- Broad technical knowledge of business analysis, reporting, software development, testing and project management.

- Experience using Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012/2017/2019

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Reporting Stack including SQL Reporting Services and Power BI

- Strong knowledge in VB.NET, VBA & T-SQL development languages

- Sound understanding of Microsoft Excel and Access development environments

- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

- Understanding of website development principles

- Advantageous Skills or Knowledge include experience with Coda Financials and Microsoft Business Central, understanding Development Methodologies and Project Management Skills
