Business Case Modeller & Data Analyst - £25k- £30k per annum plus Bonus - Grayshott, Hampshire

The Role

Are you degree educated in Engineering, Maths or Economics with demonstrable analytical experience? If so then we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are a low-carbon energy/net-zero solutions provider, looking for a Business Case Modeller to:

Analyse clients' existing costs and carbon emissions from their current energy usage.
Analyse the engineering solutions to reduce their carbon footprint.
Put forward recommendations which will yield the optimum value for clients.
You will be required to deliver feasibility studies and other consulting reports, both prior to tender and during the execution of capital works projects.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of a Business Case Modeller / Data Analyst include, but are not limited to:

Entering data into the Whole Life Cost (WLC) model.
Adaptation and improvement of the WLC model.
Interpreting the output from the WLC model and recommending the optimum solutions and options for the customer.
Assessing which renewable technology investments will yield the best results for the client.
Producing graphs and commentary on options for the customer and sharing these with the Business Development team and relevant engineering teams to support tender documents and engineering studies respectively.
Assessing the best finance options for a customer e.g. asset leasing or capital investment.
Working in conjunction with engineers to generate asset plans for prospective customers.
Liaising with engineers to obtain their recommendations on decarbonisation solutions and then inputting this information into the WLC model to generate a business case for clients.
Evaluating the opportunities and potential risks attached to the recommendations put forward.
Identifying the processes and technologies required to implement the recommendations.
Producing written documentation/reports to support analysis; and sharing these with the relevant stakeholders.
Reviewing and repeating previous analysis and financial modelling when required during the project lifecycle.
Be responsible for the analysis of energy information that is received from a client and using a Whole Life Cost model to assess engineering options and optimize solutions.
Supporting the presentation of financial options and solutions to clients.
Identifying further opportunities with existing project clients.
Contributing to company capability reviews of potential and existing suppliers and sub-contractors.
Contributing to the company's continuous analysis of renewables/low-carbon technologies and related energy efficiency measures, including costs and potential grants or subsidies, to ensure that we are offering our markets the best options and are prepared for new options as they become viable.

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Business Case Modeller / Data Analyst are:

An Engineering, Maths or Economics graduate with demonstrable analytical experience.
Willing to challenge the status quo and make improvements to the WLC model.
A keen desire to learn about new technologies and the assessment of low-carbon technologies.
Excellent communications skills, including the ability to write clear and logical English.
Highly numerate with advanced capability in Excel.
Proven work experience in data analysis.
Good eye for detail, logical and pragmatic.
Self-disciplined and deadline driven.
