Business Information Manager/Senior Data Analyst/Manager

My client is looking for a permanent Business Information Manager to oversees the production of analyses tailored to different audiences (including Department of Health and Social Care) using a variety of methods, including written reports, graphical presentation, PowerPoint presentations or other appropriate means, provided on a timely basis and consistent high quality. Oversees the development and maintenance of appropriate performance dashboards for the CCF and DHSC. Represents the business and collaborates with other coordinating centres and outside organisations to provide a high quality Business Intelligence service, and innovates ways to improve and enrich this service offering. Ensures legal or contractual timescales for business and customer requests for information, data and insight, including providing assistance to colleagues in answering Parliamentary Questions and Freedom of Information Requests and other reporting requests are met.

The Business Information Manage should have a good degree in a relevant subject (a relevant professional qualification would be desirable) or comparable professional experience. Knowledge of the regulatory framework for data handling, Data Protection, GDPR, Freedom of Information etc. Inquisitive, analytical self-starter who looks for opportunities to implement improvements in to processes and services. Confidence in dealing with complex stakeholder relationships involving senior members of staff in national and international organisations. An ability to analyse complex data requests and present them in an accessible way suitable for the target audiences. An ability to write succinct and informative documents for senior level decision makers providing them with sufficient information for decisions to be made. An ability to analyse how specific issues may affect the wider NIHR system. An ability to management of complex projects, demonstrating excellent organisational skills and meticulous record keeping. Effective planning, organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage own time to deliver multiple priorities with demanding deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills and customer focus, including successful senior level external liaison and meeting management to agree mutually acceptable outcomes.

Oversees data analysis for the Performance in Initiating and Delivering Clinical Research exercise, including planning of activities and allocation of resources. Oversees Clinical Trial Performance processes including, but not limited to, induction of new trusts, data collection, adjustment of data, notification of financial penalties, publication checking. Oversees dissemination of information to external stakeholders, including guidance document updates to NHS Providers, leading on the production of key reports of findings to NHS Providers and DHSC, providing feedback regarding performance and data quality to NHS Providers and DHSC

Previous experience with QlikView, SQL Server and Google Suite would also be beneficial.

£45k to £50k plus benefits
