Claims Data Analyst

Our Claims department is on the lookout for our next Claims Analyst! We are looking for someone with strong numerical and analytical skills (as well as MS Office applications) and a naturally inquisitive, curious nature. We want you to take ownership of what you find, apply your insights and make things happen!

We are open to recent graduates who have studied a relevant degree and looking to join a progressive, dynamic company in which to grow their career!

We are passionate about providing a real work-life balance and therefore open to flexible working options. You will be based at our seaside office in Bexhill combined with partial working from home.

The Role

This role will support leadership and operations through the development and delivery of robust MI alongside analytical insight into claims and counter fraud performance. This will enable the business to monitor, understand and communicate the drivers of performance and control the indemnity and operational spend. By using your analysis, you can enable the business to target specific improvement activities on the areas that offer the greatest value.

What will you be doing?

  • Providing MI and analytical support to leadership and operations
  • Providing regular management information
  • Specific analytical projects and reports
  • Identifying opportunities to improve performance and solve these through quantitive analysis and business insight
  • Reviewing the quality of the work undertaken to ensure objectives have been met and that the data is of high integrity
  • Delivering objectives in a proactive, timely and prioritised manner
  • Support the claims analytics team in the development of processes, approaches and tools
  • Effectively identify, manage and report risk within your area of responsibility
  • Ad-hoc requests for MI and analysis

We're looking for people who have:

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify areas of risk and opportunity
  • Advance MS Office skills
  • Confidence to express opinions/challenge where necessary
  • Excellent problem solving skills with a proactive approach to work
  • Desirable: knowledge and experience of using SAS, SQL, R, Emblem, Python, Tableau
  • Desirable: an understanding of claims
