Salary; £22,000 - £28,000

Overview of the role

Working for a leading UK wide client, based in Portsmouth, with a focus on technology, we are looking for a Commercial Analyst / Data Analyst / Business Analyst to join the overall Commercial Team. The role of Commercial Analyst / Data Analyst / Business Analyst is to support the position of new and existing clients, by analysing existing and potential spend to support growth of a client account.

To be successful as the Commercial Analyst / Data Analyst / Business Analyst you will be focused on commercial modelling of customer billing data, as well and making suggestions for bespoke pricing and analysis of margin reports. Your previous experience of working with sales and billing data, will provide you with the skill set to thrive in this position.

The Commercial Analyst / Data Analyst / Business Analyst will work closely with all areas of the business including Sales, Customer Management, Billing. The client is a technology business and the size of the data you will be dealing with is very large.

Due to the current climate, this position will be based from home, however you will be based at the Portsmouth office and therefore must be able to commute.

Whilst day to day the role will be supported by the Commercial Manager, the Commercial Analyst / Data Analyst / Business Analyst will require significant self-management and a proactive working approach. You will be working with data and excel predominately, so your attention to detail will be high!

Your key responsibilities

Commercial

Carry out bill analysis
Make pricing recommendations
Work with the sales teams to provide bespoke cost estimates for new and existing customers

Experience

You will come with a strong passion for numbers and data
You will enjoy analysing large finance data, manipulating rows of raw information and seeing trends
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Strong ability to analyse and manipulate financial data
A critical eye for detail whilst retaining the ability to see the big picture
