Our client based in Tamworth is looking to recruit a Data Analyst/ Data Manager into their major AIM listed building products group. The business unit comprises a national network of c80+ distribution depots and has revenues in the order of £63m.

You will be reporting to the Business Unit Finance Director. This role will be responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of sales price performance, non-group supplier purchase pricing and rebate and contract support claims. The role will also work with the sales and regional management teams to develop dashboards and exception reporting.

Duties and responsibilities

* Development of Power BI commercial reporting and analysis tool (Nexus) becoming the 'go to' person for training and queries

* Coordinate annual price increase process, managing exceptions and reporting on achievement

* Sales price reporting to highlight below target products, customers, branches and transaction

* Develop, improve and maintain sales, margin and product category focused dashboards for key stakeholders:

* Sales team

* Regional management teams

* Branches managers and team

* Product category performance

* Reporting on BDM/KAM performance and bonus achievement calculations

* Support the Trade Sales Marketing Manager to develop incentives and reporting

* Review and develop sales team quotation tool

* Development of stock reporting for regional branch management teams

* Own and improve processes to update master data records including suppliers, customers and SKUs

* Ensuring master data integrity in ERP systems via your team, including:

* Sales and purchase price changes

* Customer address details

* New item codes

* Duplication checking and archiving obsolete data

* Maintenance of internal employee tools such as Absence recording

Skills and experience

* Distribution, retail or building products manufacturing experience

* Experience of using Power BI analytic and reporting tools

* Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills

* The use of software-based data analysis tools such as SQL

* Experience cleaning and maintaining datasets

* Organised approach to work and meeting deadlines

* Attention to detail and accuracy
