The Retail Finance Analysis team play a key role in supporting and challenging the wider Retail Finance team by providing analysis and reports that can be used to drive the business forward. Developing new analysis and continually evolving existing reports are important in the team, always trying to strive for the best. The bank houses a large amount of data on customers, so working through the relevant information and bringing it to life in a way that is simple and easy to understand is essential.

We are a high performing team and have worked hard to embed ourselves in the business working with the Sales, Marketing, Finance, Risk and Operations functions. We work closely with the central MIS and Data Science team, so maintaining and building on all these relationships is important to the team

The role of Commercial Data Analyst is really important to us. You will play a key role in analysing internal and external data to provide valuable insight into the Retail Finance team.

When the time is right, we would love to welcome you to our Manchester office. In the meantime, you will be based remotely. You'll be made to feel part of your new team by your Line Manager Retail Finance Analysis Manager and colleagues through regular contact and virtual interaction.

What would your day look like?

You will be required to produce for the business high quality, precise and accurate management information on a daily, weekly and monthly cycle, constantly adapting to the needs of the business
Analyse both internal and external information to provide a combined summary of information to help determine opportunities to support with deployment of resource and to inform sales strategy
Work with senior members of the team to develop new reporting to give greater insight and understanding of the drivers of the business
Work with and support other areas of the business to develop analysis and insight relating to the mortgages area

What do we expect of you?

Confident, proactive starter with exceptional analytical skills. Ability to take raw data, manipulate it into a manageable format and then present the results clearly. Therefore experience of using VBA, Tableau and SQL are desirable
Previous experience within financial services and commercial awareness of mortgages would be ideal
Experience of working with large datasets, analysing and presenting information to the business
Excellent presentation skills - able to distil large amounts of data and information into clear and concise messages that are easy to understand to stakeholders who are not necessarily numericalWhat can you expect of us?
