Leeds Area (Hybrid Working)

£40K to £50K

Revenue focussed commercial analyst position working with Sales Data and reporting.

What the role involves:

The main purpose of this role is to support of all sales divisions, providing teams and individuals at all levels with sales and margin data, information, and analysis; making recommendations and participating in utilising the information to make informed decisions regarding sales and margin performance including strategies at product, brand, channel, and divisional levels. The role will also be responsible for developing our pricing strategies and managing our revenue performance.

Responsibilities/duties:

• Provide the Executive Director- Commercial with weekly touchpoints on revenue and highlight trends, opportunities and risks

• Develop and evolve the sales reporting MI available to the wider business at various levels through mechanisms such as HubSpot, NetSuite and EQUAL data to develop sales management packs for all key product families which clearly show trends and help influence decision making

• Produce and update volume and value forecasts for all channels globally to feed into dynamic forecast and sales phasing

• Support the marketing and commercial departments in calculating revenue for new product launches and launches of existing products in new markets

• Collate and track all revenue related risks and opportunities not included in the forecast for monthly reporting

• Be responsible for the Revenue Management strategy and optimisation for a dedicated portfolio of axis, in line with our commercial objective and business recovery

• Monitor business performance by analysing revenue, volume and re-estimate strategies to ensure changing market demand, or any issues are reflected

• Communicate business trends and recommendations to management

• Support the Commercial team as they win new business and get the best outcome on renewals and new business opportunities, utilising data to identify the most appropriate pricing strategy, deal structuring and price to win

• Provide analytical support for customer-facing teams - including the building of pricing models using customer financial and operational information from our business systems, then preparation of "price-to-win" analyses and strategies based on this information

• Drive pricing projects that help identify, design and operationalize revenue and margin maximizing opportunities by understanding the buying behaviour of our customers, determining the best combination of price and services and building tools and techniques to allow the field to execute our pricing initiatives

• Identify new opportunities and market shifts

About you:

• Experience working with large complex data sets, cleansing and converting data into information

• Instinctive ability to read, understand, spot errors and convert large data sets within complex spreadsheets into useful management information

• Strong commercial awareness, can demonstrate an understanding of the economic and commercial drivers of the business and how they relate to Revenue decisions

• Excellent communication skills (written/verbal), organization and interpersonal skills - ability to lead and influence others; comfortable interacting with executive leadership; ability to persuade others based on compelling data and stories

• Pricing experience - background in deal structuring, price management, analysis, reporting, and customer negotiations

• Ability to transform process and tools to simplify the user experience while driving price revenue growth and profitability

• Sales experience, marketing strategy, or financial analyst experience is also helpful

• Advanced proficiency with business software including mastery of analysis tools, especially Excel, financial modelling and Power BI

• Familiarity of CRM Systems and reporting

• Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with different audiences from both large and small institutions
