What is the role?
To enable Stobart Energy to optimise operational and commercial business performance by:

  • Provision of updated and accurate data to enable proactive operational decision making and efficient invoicing.
  • Facilitating effective end-to-end, collaborative process management across all teams.
  • Tracking performance and financial data to identify business risks and opportunities.

To support the tactical delivery of the Stobart Energy strategic plan by:

  • Focus on relationship development and tactical management delivery through the provision of data and systems support services.
  • Optimise contract delivery plans through the provision and analysis of contract performance and cost data.
  • Working with the business and customer teams to resolve delivery issues.
  • Supporting contract delivery activity including communicating with Stobart Energy and customer teams to resolve delivery issues.

Travel and working away from home for short periods of time will be required as and when, as well as the requirement of working outside of core hours and on bank holidays & weekends.

Working Hours: 40 hours per weekWorking Schedule: Monday to Friday

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational:

  • Ensuring that all logistics systems contain clean, accurate and up-to-date data enabling pro-active and informed demand and supply decision-making and efficient, timely invoicing.
  • To support Contract Delivery Managers in developing and sustaining strong customer relationships.
  • Handling the delivery of fuel to customers including resolving day-to-day issues and co-ordination of delivery plans.
  • Track and report daily performance identifying where preventative or reactive interventions may be required and, where necessary, raising issues to leadership.

Data & Systems:

  • Responsible for management of the 'cradle to grave' job ticket workflow (customer demand to invoicing) through the Stobart Energy systems.
  • Liaising and working in collaboration with other Stobart Energy teams to ensure that all ticket management process steps are being followed.


  • Updating of financial charge rates in Stobart Nav system.
  • Input, cross-checking and aligning customer and supplier billing information to enable accurate invoicing and protecting Stobart Energy cash flow.
  • Focus on financial charges to ensure all recoverable sums (upstream and downstream) are monitored and invoiced.


  • Production of daily, weekly and monthly contract performance data reports to assist Contract Delivery Managers in the tactical management of fuel supply contracts.

Skills Knowledge and ExpertiseEssential

  • Self-motivated and demonstrates ability to work within a team and interact with others.
  • Able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • Resourcefulness and ownership of tasks, data and process
  • Clear and concise communication skills, ability to think analytically and problem solve.
  • Able to follow pre-defined steps, methods, or approaches whilst also having the ability to modify and adapt as required.
  • Confidence and awareness to quickly and openly communicate issues that require resolution.
  • Strong Microsoft skills in Word, Outlook and Excel literacy (ideally Advanced Excel standard)
  • Strong data handling and numerical literacy
  • Equivalent of 5 GCSE's Grade C or above


  • Awareness of contract and commercial obligations along with accountancy and finance practices
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Prior waste/transport/logistics industry knowledge
  • Good presentation skills
