Data Analyst Developer

£45,000 - £54,000 , Permanent

Posted: 12 mins ago

We are a leading engineering company specialising in the design, development and manufacturing of medical devices and technology. Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst Developer to join our highly motivated team (Hybrid role, only 1-2 days per week in the office).

The Data Analyst Developer sits within the Business Systems function, the team being responsible for developing and maintaining the key applications which enable the effective and efficient operation of our 3 laboratories, sales force and customer service functions.

The Data Analyst Developer is the go-to subject matter expert for all data related matters for the Business Systems department. As such you will be responsible for:

The design and development of systems used for managing data (data warehouses, data stores, other BI).

Establishing data architecture, business rules, data integrity, maintaining documentation of data and reporting protocols.

Becoming an expert on data within the business - where it is stored, how it is managed and maintained etc.

This is a hands-on technical role, as well as the design and governance aspects. The Business Systems team is fairly small, so this role will be involved in developing solutions, investigating issues and advising the team on data. Data is growing in importance within the business and this role has the potential to do so much with it. As such, it might suit a general developer, with a bias towards data, and aspirations to help an organization make most effective use of it in the longer term.

To be successful, you will ideally be degree qualified in an IT, Computer Sciences, or similar discipline, or bring a breadth of relevant work-based experience. You will bring significant practical experience of software development life cycle activities, and be comfortable working with SQL Server, .NET, C# and DW Design. Preference is given to those with experience of working within an ISO17025 accredited quality management system. We're looking for someone who is user focused, and can demonstrate the ability to partner with stakeholders to understand and support their needs, balancing multiple priorities. You will demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a multidisciplinary team, and have effective organizational and time management skills
