This is a great opportunity for an experienced analyst to work in-house at an international FMCG company with an incredible culture and terrific work life balance.

Our client, General Mills, is a multinational manufacturer and marketer of consumer foods, whose brands include household names like Old El Paso, Häagen-Dazs, Nature Valley, Betty Crocker, Yoplait, Green Giant and Jus-Rol.

The Commercial Data Analyst will be responsible for analysing the performance of General Mills brands in online retail platforms - like Tesco, Sainsbury's and Amazon - by accessing a broad set of analytics provided by the e-commerce team.

The Analyst will uncover robust insights and make smart recommendations on how to improve sales, shares and media ROI for the brands.

General Mills' regional e-commerce Team is piloting this mission in its largest European market: the United Kingdom. This is a fantastic chance for an extrepreneurial and ambitious analyst to support both the Europe and the UK eCommerce teams, by providing superior data driven insights to deliver business goals.


  • Connect various sources of existing data to generate insights on the drivers of GMI Brand, GMI Category and Competition performance in eCommerce.
  • Translate data results into conclusions and actionable insights (the WHY of the performance)
  • Present to UK Sales, Marketing & eCommerce teams the generated insights and the recommendations to increase GMI Brand online sales.
  • Analyse GMI Brands and Competition eRetail Media campaigns performance.
  • Leverage the existing measurement tool and present to Marketing and eCom teams the Campaigns learnings and a proposed optimisation plan to increase the ROI of GMI campaigns.
  • Have a deep understanding of digital shopper journeys, media opportunities and conversation mechanics that exist across different channels and platforms with working knowledge of online retailers

To be successful in this role:

  • Fluent in English
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in mathematics or IT or data analytics or marketing or finance or engineering with a demonstrated passion for eCommerce sales, marketing.
  • 3-5 years of experience preferably in a FMCG and/or eCommerce environment.
  • An individual who is able to interpret data well, adept in storytelling with data and has strong knowledge of Microsoft Pack office
  • Business acumen combined with strong analytical skills, disciplined and accountable, team player, entrepreneurship, ability to work and get things done in a matrix environment
  • Strong communicator, can translate complex matters into simple messages across seniority levels
