Data Analyst - HR

An exciting position has become available for a full-time HR Data Analyst based at The University of Wolverhampton.

The appointed HR Data Analyst will join our HR Information Systems (HRIS) Team. The team are responsible for supporting the University's HR (Agresso, Unit4), Service desk (ServiceNow) and e-Recruitment systems.

HR Data Analyst Role Responsibilities

  • Educated to A Level or equivalent experience.
  • Have experience of extraction, analysis and interpreting data in a variety of applications (Excel, Access, HR & Payroll systems and e-Recruitment system) to provide accurate and timely management information.
  • Familiar with data analysis tools such as Tableau, Business Objects.
  • Have the ability to present complex data and statistics information to a non-expert audience.
  • Have the ability to work on own initiative, planning and prioritising own workload to meet tight deadlines.
  • Have strong presentation and communication skills - both written and verbal would be a significant advantage.

HR Data Analyst Role Requirements

  • HR Data Analyst will provide strategic specialist analytical guidance to the organisation with a particular focus in supporting the HR Senior Management Team in decision making activities (including organisational change, business case development and absence management etc.) with the provision of analytical reports, data analysis and interpretation, equality, diversity and inclusion (including equality monitoring, gender pay gap analysis, Athena SWAN and any other opportunities identified), and as the key contact for faculty/corporate services in providing HR information, analysis and recommendations as required.
  • HR Data Analyst will lead on the submission of the University's annual statutory staff returns, including HESA staff return, and the provision of management information to internal and external agencies on a regular and ad hoc basis. This requires an ability to understand and interpret high level external business guidance and an awareness of the strategic implications of data submitted within the returns.
  • HR Data Analyst will lead on the design and development of a standard suite of workforce reports, leveraging the reporting functionality across the HR systems.
