Data Analyst

Description:

Our client, a market leader within the Utilities industry, is looking to recruit a Data Analyst on a contract basis for 6 months initially.

This role involves analysing data to enable the development of strategic plans to address leakage, water efficiency, and to ensure a high quality and continuous supply of water to customers in the face of challenges such as climate change and population growth. We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst who can manipulate data and use it to present meaningful information to management.

Accountabilities
* Support the Technical Home across the water business, including the analysis/ evaluation of risk and benefit based investment decision tools such as MyRisk.
* Provide technical support to enable regional risk assessments and asset planning to be carried out in particular zonal planning to deal with supply and demand issues on the water network.
* Support the delivery of the Performance Commitment regulatory reporting process.
* Work across functional areas primarily associated with water network assets to provide timely data and information to relevant stakeholders.
* Assist in the development, maintenance, communication and embedment of water strategies.

Knowledge and Skills
* Excellent analytical reasoning skills.
* Good Excel skills is a must as well as a good level of computer literacy across Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and GIS.
* Knowledge and experience if using Tableau is advantageous
* Strong data and information handling, statistical analysis and analytical skills to draw appropriate conclusions from relevant data.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills and be comfortable dealing with people externally and from across the organisation including the ability to challenge data and reporting decisions where necessary.
* Good organisational skills to ensure that work is prioritised and managed through to completion.

Additional Information
* The job is likely to be home based at least for the first few months
