Description:

Turner & Townsend's Technology project management and consultancy business unit are looking for a suitable candidate to join their Bristol team.

The business unit manages the specification, integration and delivery of technology systems for our clients both in the private and public sector undertaking refurbishment or new build activities. The team also work with clients undertaking business transformation improving the operation of their assets.

The team offers a wide range of commissions covering the West of England. Candidates would be expected to travel and work abnormal hours supporting the delivery of the commissions. As a global business we deliver projects anywhere in the world for our global client base so future flexibility would be advantageous.

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

The successful candidate will provide data analysis and technical support for our commissions. In addition they will support the development of our analysis and modelling capabilities. Furthermore they will also support the development of new commercial service opportunities.

This is a technical role, requiring; Excel modelling skills, SQL, analysis and experience of visualising data with software such as Power BI and Tableau.

*

Candidates will be expected to engage with clients and be comfortable in eliciting requirements from non-technical stakeholders.

SCOPE

Consultants will work within a specialist Technology consulting team. They may also operate within wider Turner & Townsend project teams from other business units. In addition they will need to interact with clients and other project stakeholders. They will support a wide range of projects of all sizes and dimensions. From time to time the Consultant may be required to work as part of a multi-agency consultancy team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Assisting the team of Analysts & Consultants on a range of tasks, to include:

Capturing modelling requirements

*

Building dashboards and visualisations using a variety of tools

*

Managing data capture and validation

*

Identifying and running different business and model scenarios

*

Analysis of model output, producing reports and commentary

*

Supporting client's use of model outputs for decision making

*

Testing of systems and models against requirements

*

Conducting assurance checks of implemented systems and models

*

Preparing written project communication materials

*

Preparing formal project progress and other reports

*

Liaising with the client, contractors and designers

Other responsibilities, to include:

*

Preparing presentation and other materials for client pitches, etc.

*

Inputting key information into the Turner & Townsend internal database tools

REPORTING

Depending upon context, a Consultant is likely to report to a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Senior Consultant and Principal Consultant.
