Enable Futures are operating as an employment business on behalf of its client and recruiting for a Data Analyst to work in Cheddar, Somerset for a market leading, innovative and inspiring project / marketing company. We are seeking a Data Analyst who is keen on career progression, longer term you to migrate into head of data! This opportunity gives you the ability to work with many of the world's leading FMCG brands and agencies!

The purpose of the role is to work as a data analyst and discover the information hidden in vast amounts of data and help us make smarter decisions to deliver even better products. Your primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems integrated with our products.

The working hours are 08.45-17.15 Monday to Friday. The annual salary is £22,000 - £28,000 PA dependant on experience. The outstanding benefits include:

1. 25 days annual leave + 8 Bank Holidays - a few days needs to be kept back for the end of year shut down.

2. Christmas & New Year office closure, giving everyone quality time off.

3. Pension 9% from employer 0% employee.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform data validation for our clients, to ensure they are consistent to the Terms and Conditions of our promotions.

* Provide Reports and Automation to our clients and our business.

* Setup and configure each projects' database structures.

* Work with our Operations Director and Senior Projects and Planning Manager, in the day to day and future delivery of Data objectives for our clients and the business.

* Help support our development team in Lithuania to deliver system tools and business development opportunities through technology.

* Develop, record, and maintain cutting edge web-based PHP applications on portal plus premium service platforms.

* Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team.

* Ensure HTML, CSS, and shared JavaScript is valid and consistent across applications.

* Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools.

* Utilise backend data services and contribute to increase existing data services API.

* Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post launch support.

* Refactor, optimize, and improve the existing codebase for maintenance and scale.

* Use test driven development and acceptance tests to ensure feature quality.

* Critical Thinking.

Key Strengths:

* Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.

* Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds.

* Proficient in PHP, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS.

* Excellent relational database skills with MySQL.

* Knowledge of API's, such as twitter, Facebook, Google maps, Instagram, etc.

* Understanding of responsive design frameworks such as bootstrap.

* Strong proficiency in MySQL database management.

* Understanding of InnoDB and MyISAM.

* Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications.


This role requires excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail. Due to the nature of the role, you must be an innovative thinker and be able to work logically through problems and provide solutions. It is imperative you can work productively as part of a team and be able to communicate with people at all levels. Organisation is also key to this role as meeting client deadlines is paramount as is the ability to demonstrate professionalism and diplomacy at all times as it is essential that company standards are maintained at all times.
