Data Analyst - Retail Industry - Flexi Working - Circa £45K

Data Analyst needed to work for an exclusive digital leading sports retailer and they are one of the fastest growing businesses in the UK at the minute. You will have a broad remit, overseeing day-to-day aspects of operational reporting across the business. The Data Analyst will manage and maintain the data warehouse, be confidant in summarising and presenting conclusions for senior stakeholders and develop new mappings and business processes as the business expands to new markets.

The successful candidate will be familiar with the production of data analysis outputs such as profiling reports data quality reports and data visualisations. Confident in summarising and presenting conclusions for senior stakeholders as well

Responsibilities

  • Utilise Business Intelligence tools to build reports and dashboards that will allow departments to visualise and interact with data
  • Utilise key skills including strong Excel, SQL, BigQuery and BI Skills to support the business.
  • Maintain knowledge and expertise on Performance Reporting technologies and best practice and promote appropriate adoption with the team
  • Identify, query, analyse and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Build reports, models, and proof of concept
  • Operational reporting and insight as required including KPI and sales performance reporting
  • Business partnering with wider support team daily
  • Budget analysis and forecasting
  • Introducing a system improvement and data quality focus to operational and internal reporting

Experience

  • Experience working in web or consumer analytics with 2 - 3 years' experience of working in a similar Data Analyst role.
  • Data oriented with strong Excel, SQL, BigQuery and BI skills for analysing data, creating reports and data modelling.
  • Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager are preferred);
  • Ability to manipulate and combine multiple data sources and present insights that drive business decisions at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience with business intelligence and data warehouse solutions, preferably GCP and Google Data Studio or PowerBI;
  • Passion and interest in data engineering, big data, and cloud technologies.
  • Retail industry experience a plus
  • Excellent problem solver with clear communication that can be adapted for a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Ability to balance a strategic perspective without losing the importance and focus of detail in operational delivery
