Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Data Analyst for a 12 month contract based remotely from home.

You'll be helping to manage the analysis of complex data to identify business issues and opportunities, and supporting the delivery of high quality business solutions

As a Recoveries Strategy Analyst, you'll be planning and providing high quality analytical input to support the development and implementation of innovative processes and problem resolution. You'll be capturing, validating and documenting business and data requirements, making sure they are in line with key strategic principles.

We'll look to you to interrogate, interpret and visualize large volumes of data to identify, support and challenge business opportunities and identify solutions.
Performing data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing and analysis
Conducting and supporting options analysis, identifying the most appropriate solution
Helping to maintain full traceability and linkage of business requirements of analytics outputs
Seeking opportunities to challenge and improve current business processes, ensuring the best result for the customer
Creating and executing quality assurance at various stages of the project in order to validate the analysis and to ensure data quality, identify data inconsistencies, and resolve as needed

What we require from the candidate:

You'll need a background in a collections or recoveries environment, credit risk or analytics, along with the ability to influence through communications tailored to a specific audience.

You'll also demonstrate:

Strong analytic and problem solving abilities and numeracy skills
The ability to maintain focus on customers
An understanding of the retail bank credit risk and regulatory environment
The ability to challenge existing ideas and develop new ones, and the ability to plan and deliver multiple activities
SAS and SQL skills, or a similar analytical skillsetThis client will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.
