An exciting position has arisen with my high-profile client in the Financial Services sector for a Data Analyst looking for their next opportunity.

You will be responsible for coordinating data metrics development and reporting efforts with information technology solutions in order to meet business and management team data needs and guide initiatives related to improving data quality and reporting in our Global Threat Management team. You will also be coordinating the documentation of operational flow diagrams to build consolidated process maps.

Major Duties

·Coordinate development and design efforts with information technology solutions in order to meet data reporting needs.
·Provide business unit partners with ongoing updates, acting as a trouble shooter.
·Steer initiatives related to improving manual processes. Work closely with business and technology partners to gather and prepare business needs used to implement improvements / solutions.
·Provide project support and planning: develop test plans and user acceptance testing criteria.
·Evaluates and makes recommendations on techniques, practices or technologies that would enhance data related business needs.
·Convey with internal business areas regarding automation needs.
·Keep abreast of new and existing bank products / services and market trends in order to meet data related business unit needs.

Knowledge/Skills

Knowledge of business functions and processes usually obtained through work. General knowledge and appreciation of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the data and technology field.

·Creative thinker with excellent systematic, communication and presentation skills.
·Goal oriented team player willing to work with a global group of professionals.
·Knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, and Enterprise Data Management concepts
·Appreciates and effectively conveys the role of Data Governance to both business and technical communities within the sphere of the data domain
·Excellent oral and written communication skills are needed
·In-depth Functional/Industry Knowledge
·Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
·Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel), SQL and data analysis tools

Experience

Extensive work history within the financial management industry and / or financial project management role.
