The Role

We are looking for a Data Analyst with some recent experience and an inquisitive mindset to help us identify areas of our operation which can be improved and made more efficient. You will play a crucial role and have a significant impact as part of a busy team, and at a pivotal time in our growth.

Reporting to the Finance Manager , you will be responsible for analysing complex data sets within a sourcing/procurement environment. Part of the role focuses on the production/maintenance of standard reports on a weekly/monthly basis (from complex and disparate data sources) and the development of robust systems to ensure the reports are semi-automated. The other part of the role is to support procurement experts on projects/opportunities in order to break down problems and provide insight through clear and rigorous analysis of the data.

You Will be Responsible For:

Taking the lead on analysis projects to find stages in our operation and processes which are inefficient and can be improved.

Uncovering insights that guide business decisions.

Improving our data analysis tool set.

Collaborating with different teams across the business.

About You:

  • Be passionate about using data to inform business decision
  • A proven track record of successfully performing structured analysis and problem solving within a commercial environment (ideally 3+ years' experience).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
  • Deliver proactive and timely results
  • University underĀ­graduate degree, ideally in Maths or Computer Science
  • Be adept at creative problem solving
  • Have a naturally inquisitive mindset
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills
  • Have a breadth of data analysis techniques at hand
  • Have a strong interest in building and understanding database design and data warehousing structures
  • Be an effective communicator and be able to prioritise well in a fast moving business environment
