The Role

Our client is one of the UK's leading real estate service providers. They work with property of all types, ranging from the world's most iconic rural estates through to the country's leading urban developments and property portfolios.

The requirement is for a Data Analyst to join the Sustainability team, a new department that is explicitly focused on energy and sustainability. The role will focus on the delivery of industry leading sustainability data reporting services for the real estate sector.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will act as a data analyst in the Sustainability Team, supporting and generating data and benchmarking outputs to both internal and external clients. Key duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

* Assist the team in setting up and delivering key client reports via the internal Sustainability data platform.

* Maintain and where necessary, cleanse all relevant software systems and reporting platforms, ensuring data integrity at all times, whilst maintaining effective relationships with all software and data providers.

* Explore and test new software functionality including the tracking and reporting of system issues.

* Oversee, collate and analyse key data streams for all environmental, sustainability and benchmarking performance indicators.

* Generate key sustainability reporting outputs in a timely and accurate fashion for internal and external clients on utility and resource reporting as well as wider property data covering health and wellbeing aspects, site projects, certifications or initiatives.

* Deliver demos of and training sessions on the internal data platform, for internal and external stakeholders.

* Assist all members of the sustainability team in the provision of data for key service lines such as GRESB, GHG and other reporting.

* Keep abreast of all industry developments in relation to sustainability reporting and benchmarking practices, ensuring best practice in reporting methodologies is adopted for all outputs from the Sustainability Team.

* Where necessary, assist in developing and enhancing all reporting processes to improve efficiency, quality and innovation in delivering team output.

* Assist the sustainability team in all other relevant team tasks including helpdesk enquiries, a variety of client account support work and production of marketing and case study materials.

Requirements

* Ability to develop lasting and effective relationships with key stakeholders internally within the Sustainability, Property Management, Compliance and Energy teams and externally with all key service providers.

* Customer orientated - ability to be client facing; excellent communicator and presenter.

* Highly motivated individual - with drive for development of self.

* Excellent time management, punctual and organised, can deliver work under pressure and to fixed deadlines.

* Resourceful team worker, with ability to be autonomous in certain specialist fields.

* Good English, grammar, spelling and document checking skills.

* Strong report writing skills and quality assurance focused.

Required

* Strong understanding of working with sustainability data, including knowledge of energy, water, resource & carbon data.

* Completely IT literate, numerate and proven experience with data, analytics and reporting.

* Strong analytical skills in handling big data and reporting outputs with high level of competence in Microsoft Excel including the ability to create complex formulae.

* Ability to validate and analyse big data sets for production of reporting outputs in a timely and effective manner.

* Strong attention to detail and produces work to a high, consistent and accurate standard.

* Understanding of Sustainability reporting and benchmarking assessments.

Desired

Hands on experience of using sustainability data platforms and/or implementation of these.

Experience of working in a utility bureau.

Knowledge of the software development life cycle.

Previous exposure to software testing.

Familiarity with GRESB reporting requirements
