Data analyst / Business data analyst | Grantham | £26,000 - £32,000 depending on experience.Hybrid working. My client, is an exciting market leading service organisation, looking to expand their customer and service team with data analyst who is looking for that first or next opportunity to develop their analytical skills. This role has huge scope for progression and would equally suit a Graduate / Analyst who has experience of providing insights from large datasets.Data Analyst Overview:

  • Opportunity to design, create, manage and determine business use cases of large datasets.
  • Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes.
  • Use skills to identify improvements in our current data infrastructure and assisting in development of Application Programming Interface (API).

Data Analyst Skills & Qualifications:Study / Qualifications in relevant areas such as Information Systems, Computer Science, Electronics, Engineering, Automation or gained knowledge through experience in analysing and mining data from large datasets and proficient with big data technologies such as Redshift or others. You need to have a proactive approach to solving customer issues and problem solving along with being a self-starter with strong analytical, critical thinking; able to work independently as well as in fast-paced, cross-functional team.Data Analyst responsibilities:

  • Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns and create data pipelines to pull data from multiple sources/types and interface in others
  • Implement scalable ETL processes in AWS platform
  • Ability to provide insights on complex and large datasets
  • Develop and tune (SQL/mySQL/Oracle/Redshift) queries
  • Support with data requests from various stakeholders in the company
  • Help identify valuable data sources
  • Discover, attain, explore and prepare datasets from a big variety of sources to support analyses
  • Collaborate with other team members to help execute strategies and goals
  • Deliver results and insights in both a clear and effective manner to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ownership updates GSM, product registration webtool and customer data direct files
  • Support bulletin data, data flow and archiving
  • Maintain all current and future business intelligence reporting
  • Manage, support and maintain created API's and interfaces
  • Manage, support and maintain master data across different systems, APIs

Data Analyst experience required, although training will be provided if not experienced in all areas:

  • Must Have experience working with large data sets in multiple ERPs and data streams is essential
  • Experience with mining data from Relational Database Management System using SQL, Oracle, mySQL, MariaDB, Postgre, Redshift
  • Experience with coding/webserver (Python, java or else)
  • Experience of using BI Analytics tools such as Tableau/Qlik/QuickSight/ Power-BI. Experience with dashboards development is preferred as well as data modeling, data warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • 1+ years of experience with big data technologies such as Redshift or others
  • Basic knowledge of source control (or version control)
  • Experiencing authoring complex SQL scripts and query performance tuning
  • Experience with data administration tools such as DBeaver, Navicat, SQL server
