Protocol is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Data analyst in the Wolverhampton area. In this role you will provide management information to the senior team making it easier to surface opportunities, identify risks, analyse trends, to drive effective decision-making. Presenting findings and data insights in creative ways to facilitate the understanding of data across all areas of the business.

Monday - Friday working withing office hours.

You will need an Enhanced DBS Ideally on the update service

Salary: £16.00 - £19.00

The person & qualifications

*Ability to challenge the 'norm'/established practices and demonstrate ability to 'think outside the box'
*Qualified to degree level
*Professional qualification e.g., relevant degree / postgraduate
*Experience of Microsoft SQL Server, Reporting Services, Power BI
*Knowledge of student information systems, preferably Tribal EBS
*Able to demonstrate evidence of delivering excellent customer service
*A self-starter, able to work with a high degree of autonomy
*Enthusiastic and positive - 'can do' attitude
*Highly innovative
*Excellent IT skills
*High standards of customer care


*Investigate corporate data requirements where there is some complexity and ambiguity.
*Plan own data modelling and design activities, selecting appropriate techniques and the correct level of detail for meeting assigned objectives.
*Provide advice and guidance to others using the data structures and associated components.
*Apply a variety of visualisation techniques and designs the content and appearance of data visuals.
*Perform and automate activities for efficient and timely production of data visuals.
*Select appropriate visualisation approaches from a range of applicable options.
*Contribute to exploration and experimentation in data visualisation.
*Perform standard database maintenance and administration tasks. Use database management system software and tools to collect performance statistics.
*Assess, analyse, develop, document and implement changes based on requests for change.
