We are looking at onboarding a Data Analyst mainly to cope with increasing Power BI analytics and reporting demand.

The role will interface with the main Digital Data Team, but it will sit directly and report to the Head of Temporary Works.

The SCS TW's team (Core) is responsible for.

* Setting up an audit framework and management of TW coordination & design functions.

* Auditing of subcontractors/supplier to ensure compliance with their own procedures.

* Training and upskilling of TW coordinators, supervisors, designers and the wider project team on Temporary Works processes and best practice.

* Raising awareness of TW as major risk across the project and highlighting issues in the industry.

* TW appointment management and administration

* Manage/develop project TW procedures.

* Manage project's TW competencies.

* Act as mentor to engineering/delivery team involved with TW.

* Engage with stakeholders to understand concerns and ensure they are addressed.

* Ensure compliance with the project (SCS and HS2) TW procedures including quality of design outputs.

* Research and development of a cutting-edge TW system as part of business improvement team (BIT) to deliver TW more efficiently across the project.

* Find efficiencies and improved ways of working using digital tools to cut down paperwork, non-value adding process, make implementation of the wider HS2 contract TW issues (EMRs, CRTs, U&As) as simple as possible to enable TWCs to focus on TW delivery

* Make Zutec the main platform for TW. Ensure that all the other systems (EMT, Safetibase and ProjectWise) interact in an effective way with Zutec.

Key Responsibilities

* Monitor and audit data quality via the various TW's systems.

* Liaise with internal and external clients to fully understand data content.

* Gather, understand, and document detailed requirements and interface contracts using appropriate tools and techniques.

* Manipulate, analyse, and interpret complex data sets relating to the employer's business

* Educate and support business users with their reporting needs

* Prepare reports for internal and external audiences using business analytics reporting tools.

* Create dashboards, graphs and visualizations and organise the TW's teams for ensure content is accurate.

* Provide sector benchmarking across the project.

* Mine and analyse large datasets, draw valid inferences, and present them successfully to management using a reporting tool, principally Power BI.

* Understand the Client and Joint Venture Partners' Environment and Sustainability Policies, Processes, and statutory requirements as they affect the company's operations and ensure that the requirements, as applicable within their discipline, are implemented on the project.

Required qualifications, skills, behaviors and attributes

* Demonstrable experience in the development of reports and dashboards to a diverse set of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment

* Highly skilled in mainstream BI tools (including but not limited to Power BI).

* Experience cleaning and managing complex datasets.

* Understand and promote data quality.

* Has the knowledge or experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL).

* Has the knowledge with Azure integration services.
