Data Analyst

We are currently recruiting for a Data Analyst with experience of Power BI and Insurance/Financial Services Industry experience to join one of our Insurance Clients on a 6 month contract remote working.

This position is Inside IR35.

Responsibilities:

• Lead initiating, scoping, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing projects, ensuring delivery to time, cost, quality & scope on time
• Documentation of Individual Folder locations (Inventory)
• Categorisation of data to support the pre-agreed disposition/migration strategies
• Working with the business to identify data owners for unclaimed Group File shares
• Generating reports to track progress and to identify uncategorized data
• Building business process and communications to support users in moving from File shares to alternate storage platforms
• Working with structured and unstructured data
• Working with the business to understand current working practices and mechanics for moving files to Share Point or alternative platforms
• Manipulating large data sets
• Working with IT to flag Permission issues on Group shares, and raise SNow tickets where required

Key Skills Required:

• Data analysis - An understanding of data analysis techniques. Analysts will need to become familiar with data and attributes generated from Varonis and other tools
• Strong Excel skills and knowledge of reporting within Power BI
• Able to work with large data sets, breaking these down to derive conclusions and to develop approaches to deliver project goals
• Business process analysis. Able to leverage tools (eg Varonis) to identify business usage trends and allocate folders to correct Data Owners
