My client a household name in retail, seek a Data Analyst with strong data design/governance background and heavy involvement in Metadata to join a newly established Data Centre of Excellence, as they seek to define and instil best practices across the group in terms of: data design, management and maintenance. This role offers the opportunity to put your data design experience to good use on a large-scale, enterprise wide basis and work closely with Data Architects, Data Engineers and Data Scientists, as well as non-technical senior stakeholders. In doing so we can ensure that data is understood, reused and governed effectively.

Key responsibilities:

* Design and maintain data models, data-flows, dictionaries/glossaries.
* Take count of the current data design assets in place and analyse the content and its structure to identify risks and issues to be remedied.
* Share your data design experience with non-technical stakeholders and communities across the business, delivering engaging workshops on best practices and governance.

Key Requirements:
* Data Analysis background
* Experience in Metadata; ndata-definitions, data-flows, data mapping etc.
* SQL Querying experience.
