Data Analyst - play a key part in travel sustainability

Data Analyst - 2 year Fixed term contract - Hampshire - remote working available. Salary up to 35k plus Benefits

We're looking for a Data Analyst to join a leading Public Sector organisation in Hampshire who are working on a number of projects delivering on travel sustainability. You will play a key role in the delivery of data to key stakeholders that is fundamental to the success of those projects. The role is based in Hampshire and can be done remotely with some visits to the office.

What you'll be doing:
As a Data Analyst you will take responsibility for identifying, collecting and manipulating data from both internal and external sources. You will support and share the rationale of why data sets need to be collected and work with key stakeholders to ensure that this is delivered on time.

You will work with the data, undertaking data cleansing, review and analysis, visualisation and feeding data into project dashboards as well as presenting data to key stakeholders helping them to interpret and understand the data. You will also lend project support by using data to input to project evaluation, governance, and updating RAG reports.

What our client is looking for:
You will have demonstrable experience within a similar role encompassing data analysis, working with Excel-based reports and excellent stakeholder management and customer service skills.

You will be strong technically, particularly with Excel. Any experience of Python (for data cleansing), PowerBI or similar visualisation tools and GIS would be beneficial. If you do not have exposure to these technologies then there will be the opportunity to gain these skills.
