Are you looking to join a globally recognised company?

We are currently recruiting for a Data Analyst to join one of the World's leading FMCG organisations. This is a pivotal role supporting the Research & Development department for a specific data project. This is a remote position which may occasionally require you to visit the company site in Leicester, LE4.

This is a temporary position until the end of 2021 with the potential for extension depending on progress and workload for this project. It is a full-time role working 37.5hrs per week with a basic salary between £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.

Duties:

  • To gather and collate large amounts of data from different sources and functions across the business
  • Ability to identify data trends, troubleshoot discrepancies and action accordingly
  • To see beyond the data to find meaning and linkage across different data sets in different formats
  • Draw and summarise conclusions from your analysis and present the findings to the team

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Advanced Excel Skills (pivot table, index & match, complex formula build and analysis of data from multiple input sources)
  • Experience in the food industry, preferably with food specifications and/or master data

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience building databases in excel.
  • Experience working with master data at the SKU level and linkage to R&D product specifications

What are we looking for in a candidate?

  • A self-starter with ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ideally the candidate is able to travel occasionally to site, although not essential
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
