Amazing fully remote, permanent Data Analyst opportunity for a fast growing business. £35,000 - £45,000 base + flexible hours. The purpose of the role is to provide analytical support to two key teams at the front end of the business. The Data Analyst will play a key role in the wider Commercial team and focus on developing enhanced reporting, as well as decision support for strategies and marketing investments. This role will also support the finance team in data management and report writing. JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Building, monitoring and analysing reporting for the Sales and Marketing functions. This will primarily focus on: o Sales forecasting and modelling o Cost analysis, margin reviews and identifying savings opportunities o Marketing (pricing, promotions, brand investment & R.O.I., on and offline activity review) o Offline marketing (database, mailing analysis, contact strategy) o Ecommerce team (marketing efficiency, acquisition channel performance, search and traffic trends) o Sales conversion, leads analysis and call statistics as well as incentive and bonus reporting - Drive in depth financial trending analysis, interpret and analyse results and articulate recommendations which will drive the business forward and ensure KPIs and financial targets are achieved (comparisons to budget and re-forecasts) - Play a key role in weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual and long-range financial planning processes - Further develop and implement processes to improve the forecasting process as well as ensure a robust business and financial reporting base for future growth - this includes monitoring vs budgets - Partner with the central finance and marketing teams to drive business growth and evaluate key decisions/strategies as well as supporting business case commercials - Month end review including data updates for board documents, maintenance of financial models including the development of weekly cash flow modelling tools. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS: - University degree and/or extensive' related professional experience. - Data analytics and finance experience important including exposure to business intelligence platforms - Strong communication skills - Ability to prepare presentations including charts and graphs and verbalize thoughts and ideas in a group forum - specifically thinking 'outside the box' - Ability to develop and implement processes and controls - Advanced Excel skills are essential - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. - Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form. - SQL desirable but not essential.
