Data Analyst - SQL - Python - PowerBI - Financial Services - Trading

TEK Alliance have recently partnered with a leading financial trading house in London who are looking for a Data Analyst to join their team.

As a Data Analyst you will be commercially minded delivering key actionable insights/processes from analytics projects.

You will also work closely with the marketing, sales and platforms team to develop business cases for new propositions and promotions.

Key knowledge & experience required:

• Bachelor\'s degree in a quantitative field (math, statistics, comp. science, engineering, economics, etc.). Master\'s degree a plus
• Mid-level experience of relevant data environments such as MS SQL Server 2008/2016
• Good knowledge of SQL Server programming/Scripting experience.
• Demonstrated skills in data mining, analysis, report building, data visualization and insights delivery.
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Knowledge of PowerBI.
• Knowledge of Python
• Minimum of 5 years in similar role or capacity required, working across different markets as business partner.
• Knowledge of statistical packages and model building techniques.
• Prior experience in Segmentation, propensity, econometric, lifetime value modelling, etc.
• Attention to detail and data driven analytical & problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both commercial and technical environments
• Knowledge of Web Analytics tools such as Google Analytics is beneficial.

This is a great opportunity for someone with around 1-2 years experience of working in a similar role to get into financial services.
