The Data Analyst role will be comfortable handling and analysing large quantities of data, whilst understanding business process and reporting requirements - particularly in relation to construction finance and Dynamics365. They will also support the ongoing development and maintenance of the Murphy Microsoft Azure Data & Analytics platform.

What you will be doing
* Working closely with business reporting stakeholders to understanding reporting and analytical requirements to acquire and present relevant datasets;
* Handle large and complex datasets from Dynamics365 Finance and Operations, SAP SuccessFactors and other key construction centric systems;
* Create Data Pipelines into the Data & Analytics platform using traditional Extraction, Transform and Load (ETL) concepts;
* Interacting with Key Systems owners and managers to facilitate data acquisition;
* Liaise with 3rd party consultants to support the ongoing build of the data & analytics platform;
* Verify the integrity of extracted data, including schema, format, checksum/hashing;
* Awareness of, and support embedding and applying revised Data Governance and Information Security standards and best practices;
* Help establish good working practices for the work delivered and SQL environments (dev/test/production), documented appropriately.
* Working as part of the IT Programme Team, alongside chosen 3rd party as a Project Resource on the Data & Analytics Project;
* Manage and administer data ingestion (migration) plans including migration risk, milestones, quality and business sign-off details;
* Liaising with programmers, applications/operational staff, IT project managers and other technical staff.
* Assisting with the designing of maintenance procedures and putting them into operation;
* Implementing security measures in conjunction with Murphy's IT Security Manager;

Who we are looking for
* Experience with construction processes and applications.
* Detailed knowledge and practical experience with SQL and PowerBI.
* Knowledge an practical experience with Microsoft Azure Data Factories, Data Lake and Databricks, SQL and PowerBI.
* Detailed knowledge of system and data structures in Dynamics365 Finance and Operations.
* Data engineering experience with Python and C#, Web service / API development and Messaging Frameworks
* Demonstrable experience with Visual Studio and Azure DevOps toolsets.
* ITIL Foundation.
* Working knowledge of ETL and data ingestion (API knowledge)
