Energy and Carbon Data Analyst

Salary: £29,000 - £34,000 pa (DOE)

We are looking for an individual who has a combined knowledge of modelling, statistics, analytics, mathematics and energy management to add value to utility data. Your role requires strong business acumen, an ability to mine vast amounts of data to identify energy savings opportunities and communicate findings, as well as providing monitoring, targeting and verification services to clients.

This is a permanent role within our talented Solutions Team to manage delivery of energy management solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients. The team comprises Chartered Engineers and Chartered Energy Managers and we can call upon 27 engineers and 10 analysts located across the UK. Your main responsibilities will be:

* Identification of energy saving opportunities through consumption data analysis (application of statistical analysis) to deliver various types of consultancy products

* Rolling out Analysis and Act products to calculate the benefit our services can provide

* Advising on renewables, sustainability, decarbonisation, assisting clients to achieve Net Zero, carbon reduction

* Provide ad hoc analysis and tools to help clients reduce consumption - such as heat maps

* Extract and manage data from multiple data sources

* Proactively provide energy saving insights and feedback to influence clients to take actions

* Support end to end engineering solutions, assist in the development of strategies for energy saving opportunities and monitoring and targeting systems, support site based engineers in presenting project work and attend client meetings and communicate findings

* Provide measurement and verification analysis for energy savings implementation projects using recognised IPMVP protocols (show experience of IPMVP or equivalent

* Actively resolve client issues

* Support compliance related work (Government Legislation: Energy Saving Opportunities Scheme (ESOS) Product Primarily) - Data Consolidation and Verification, Site Sampling, Site Analysis, Extrapolation of findings

* Support sales process with intelligent pre-contact analysis of client data

About you

Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

* Graduate who can combine their academic experience in STEM related subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics)

* Relevant experience working with large data sets to provide analysis and insight

* Understanding of engineering knowledge to improve sustainability practices

* Working knowledge of the application of Measurement and Verification techniques

* Experience of working the Energy industry would be an advantage

* Experience of Data visualization Software (such as Power BI and Qlik)

Successful candidates should ideally be able to demonstrate the following:

* Good presentation and communication skills

* Previous experience of using analytics to demonstrate changes
