SE2, with our sister business Chirpy Heat, is a leading provider of heat network consultancy in the social housing sector aiming to deliver great heat networks for customers, landlords and the environment. The role of Energy Data Analyst is a new post which we\'re creating as part of our Innovate UK-funded project called the \'Virtual Heat Network Manager\' (VHNM), a new data analytics service for the heat network sector. The aim of the service is to access existing data from heat networks in order to improve the management of heat networks by providing operators the evidence and information needed to take action.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Data interpretation, analysis and presentation
• Analyse heat network data to identify trends and issues
• Present complex data in clear, accessible and engaging ways to engage the clients to take actions and interventions
• Help to develop data access portals, algorithms and platforms/dashboards to improve automation of data flow, analysis and presentation
• Work with clients to deliver the right data, to the right people, at the right time

2. Project co-ordination and support
• Data gathering, input and analysis for client projects
• Undertaking research, including internet searches, literature reviews, developing and issuing surveys, phone interviews and analysis of responses
• Maintaining effective working relationships with project stakeholders including attending meetings, producing activity and progress reports and identifying service development opportunities
• Maintaining and developing relations with existing and future clients to understand issues, develop the service and ultimately deliver an exceptional service that exceed client requirements
• Managing project scheduling and timetabling
• Producing case studies/gathering testimonials and references

3. Technical knowledge
• The focus for this role is around heat networks and energy efficiency. Knowledge and experience in this area would be desirable but we recognise that this is a rapidly developing area and we will provide full training for the right candidate.
• Our primary clients are social housing providers, primarily housing associations and local authorities as well as suppliers serving the sector. Experience and knowledge of working in or with these sectors will be beneficial but not essential for the role.

4. Business development
• Contributing to the strategy of the business, making suggestions for innovation and further improving the services provided
• Support business planning by working with potential new clients/contacts and providing excellent project support
• Assist with writing of tender responses and proposals
• Attend networking events to represent SE2 and Chirpy Heat
• Speak and present at relevant events and conferences
• Write relevant case studies for clients and organisation
• Contributing to website, blog and social media content

5. Personal attributes:

• A great communicator: the ability to analyse, interpret and present data as well as explain its applicability at the macro level to teams and clients
• A swift problem-solver with imagination and initiative
• Positive attitude and the ability to work independently.

The candidate:
• Preference for Degree educated in a relatable subject, or equivalent professional qualification but not essential.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a in-house or consultancy role focussing on data analysis and presentation
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

You will be primarily home based but will also be required to attend our offices in Nottinghamshire. The role will require some national travel and the occasional overnight stay to meet clients (lockdown permitting!)
