Working in the Financial Data Analytics division of a financial services business, your role will be to strengthen the data content and will be highly influential in helping to deliver accurate and timely financial data.

Client Details

International financial services business providing research and high quality information for clients in the Banking and Insurance sectors. Based in London with a mix of office and home working.


As part of the Financial Data Analytics team, you will provide high quality, accurate financial information on banking and insurance organisations.

You will analyse financial information across sectors and provide guidance to analysts on policies and procedures.

Duties include:

Maintaining and developing the processes of the inbound data feeds
Taking large data files, extracting and standardising the data and loading it into internal databases using VBA
Ensure accuracy of all data feeds by running quality checks at various points of the process to ensure data accuracy
Implement improvements to the data feeds process by looking at ways to guarantee accuracy, and automating processes where possible
Communicating effectively to gather requirements, whilst managing stakeholder expectations throughout
Working closely with Financial Data Specialists to help maintain/ improve financial data quality
Creation and maintenance of all the feed documentation
Ad hoc projects to assist with data manipulationProfile

Previous experience of financial data analysis with VBA skills
A sound knowledge of accounting practices, with experience of working with financial statement data preferred
Strong Excel skills are essential, with an excellent understanding of VBA to be able to debug and/or make small changes to the code where necessary
Experience of working with Python or a willingness to learn is essential
Ability to identify and implement improvements to processes, as well as creating/ managing project plans and process documents
Experience of working with/ manipulating large data sets is important
Excellent administration and communication skills, with a highly organised and methodical approach to workJob Offer
