Food Specification Data Analyst - International FMCG

Location: Reading, Berkshire

Salary: £28-32,000 + great benefits

This is a fantastic opportunity to kick start or develop your career within the food industry! Working on a global data project for a world-renowned brand you will be responsible for preparing data for a specific global R&D food specifications programme. This opportunity is a minimum 12 month contract with excellent scope for progression for the right person.

The role:

In this exciting role you will be responsible for analysing food product documentation and data entry of results in the following representative areas:

* Ingredient Specifications, including Ingredient Composition, Allergens, Nutritionals, Parameters, Claims

* Semi-Finished Formula Specifications

* Process Specifications

* Packaging Specifications

* Finished Product Specifications

You will work with the Data Preparation Team and R&D Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), as needed, to:

* Confirm/facilitate closure of data gaps

* Prepare the data, in a format to transfer to the global end state system or intermediate solution

* Prepare data sets as required to enable potential technology unlocks in data preparation strategy

To be successful in this role you will be:

* Degree educated (or equivalent) in a food science, food technology or food related discipline

* Experienced with R&D Specifications within the Food industry

* Experienced in relevant field (IT, Food Science, Data Entry)

* Self-starter and able to work autonomously

* Equally able to work in a team or individually

* Must be able to travel occasionally to closest R&D office

* Experienced handling large amounts of data

* Able to work with proficiently with Microsoft Office suites.

* Have excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in transcribing data

* Excellent communication skills

* Experience in Data Preparation & Migration Activities
