GIS Data Analyst

Our client is a market leading geographical data expert with a fantastic reputation for their work. They are now seeking a GIS Data Analyst to joint their dynamic and talented team in Exeter. You will be responsible for providing data preparation, conversion and analysis support alongside completing diagnostic work and general server infrastructure troubleshooting. To be successful, you will need to have 2 years of experience in GIS/ESRI systems along with a degree in Geography, Engineering, Computer Science or alike. This role is for a leading employer in the South West offering a fantastic range of benefits on top of a highly competitive salary.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting with workflows and processes with a focus on ESRI and Open Source data
  • Manipulation, conversion, maintenance, implementation and diagnostic of ESRI data
  • Analysis of complex data to provide business insights by way of virtualisation, advice, etc.
  • Completing investigations into data and providing recommendations or solutions therein
  • Spatial data testing, reviewing and the deriving of new data

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in GIS/ESRI system work
  • A degree in Geography, Engineering, Computer Science or similar
  • Ideally some experience in Oracle Spatial DBMS, SQL Server DBMS, PostgreSQL, AWS
  • Certifications in GIS or Cloud Infrastructure would be beneficial
  • Proactive and driven with excellent communication skills
