Graduate Data Analyst

What you're responsible for:

  • Extracting and preparing data ready for analysis
  • Undertaking analysis of data including applying statistical techniques
  • Interpreting analysis results and communicating these to internal and external stakeholders
  • Identifying patterns and trends in data sets.
  • Where you need experience:
  • Experience in using data visualisation tools e.g. Tableau, PowerBi
  • Experience in using statistical software e.g. SPSS
  • Experience in using programming languages, preferably Python.
  • Experience in the application of some Machine Learning algorithms like Linear and Logistic Regression.

You're doing your job well if:

  • You are effectively supporting the Data Science Lead to increase the data analysis output capacity
  • You are communicating analysis findings effectively to end users
  • You are supporting project teams to utilise analysis outputs to inform subsequent project phases/strategy development
  • You are helping to improve the efficiency of data analysis projects
  • You are delivering accurate outputs
  • You are creating workflows that can be replicated
  • You are identifying new insights and trends
  • All deadlines are being met.

What you need to be:

  • A graduate in data science, statistics, mathematics, economics, operational research or similar discipline
  • A methodical and logical problem solver, unphased by complex challenges
  • Naturally curious
  • Genuinely interested in marketing, communications and business performance
  • Have a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Which professional skills you need:
  • A high level of mathematical and analytical ability
  • Engaging written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong teamworking skills, willing to help others and contribute fairly
  • A good knowledge of all Microsoft packages
  • A good knowledge of statistical analysis methodologies.
  • A good knowledge of programming languages like Python, R and SQL.
