Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has an opportunity for a Interim Strategic Data Analyst on a 3 month's contract with a possibility of an extension.

Job Purpose.

To lead on the provision of high-quality intelligence providing advice, analysis and interpretation to the Bromley Safeguarding Children's Partnership. Using expert knowledge, the post holder will develop contemporary threat assessments to strengthen decision making, improve scrutiny and enhance tactical decision making of safeguarding partners and relevant agencies of the BSCP

Main Accountabilities.

To lead on complex analytical activities to highlight emerging themes, patterns and trends relating to the safeguarding of children and young people.
Work with BSCP partners to define and undertake complex analytical projects to improve outcomes for Bromley children.
To identify discrepancies in data systems and information contained within systems and to implement solutions where possible or escalate appropriately.
To lead complex analysis utilising expert knowledge of specific subject matter or analytical techniques. To develop contemporary intelligence packages to influence strategic decision making, support scrutiny and make recommendations on where to steer tactical deployment of resources to prevent harm, minimise risk and provide help and protection when and where it is needed most.
To develop a reporting schedule and attend key partnership meetings to present written reports, statistical analysis, briefing notes and presentations highlighting themes, patterns and trends.
To provide leadership in the BSCP on qualitative analysis and intelligence gathering. To lead on operational delivery by developing intelligence networks to improve and maintain the efficiency, effectiveness and accessibility of safeguarding information and intelligence.
To establish and manage relationships to ensure that the Partnership gets the most from research projects.
To develop frameworks for analytical capabilities in the BSCP, by engaging with partners, data officers and leading on training where necessary.
Provide support to ensure that strategic threat assessments and research projects are effectively utilised across the Partnership to positively affect service delivery for children and young people.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience.

Excellent analytical skills. Ability to gather information from wide ranging sources and analyse thoroughly to make recommendations that inform decision making.
A passion for using intelligence tools to provide meaningful data analysis; ability to construct and effectively communicate data stories using data visualisation techniques and narrative storytelling.
Ability to think analytically, to create and use concepts to explain and interpret situations, link pieces of information, create and communicate a rich pool of ideas to positively impact on practice.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, enabling communication orally and in writing with people at all levels, including the ability to adapt communication methods to suit the audience.
Ability to work accurately in a pressurised environment, adapt rapidly, manage competing priorities and deliver on service provision, and projects within changing circumstances and priorities.
Demonstrated consultative, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills including the ability to deal with complex issues in a sensitive and appropriate manner.
An ability to manage competing demands, make decisions, work methodically, think systematically, achieve targets and co-ordinate own workloads to meet agreed timescales.
An understanding of relationship management and the capacity to establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships. The ability to use initiative and approach individuals and agencies in order to obtain additional information.
A commitment to safeguarding children and contributing to partnership activities to meet statutory and professional responsibilities with regard to safeguarding children.
