Investment Data Analyst

  • Work with the capital team to maintain and operate Beazley\'s investment risk systems
  • Work with the finance team to ensure completeness and accuracy of data in the Beazley investment administration system
  • Develop solutions to manipulate, maintain and enrich investment data to meet management information and reporting requirements
  • Work with internal resources to develop and maintain interfaces between investment systems, as required
  • Produce regular and ad hoc investment management information and reporting for internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with the investment team to develop the uses and value of investment reporting

  • Comply with Beazley procedures, policies and regulations relevant to your role.Undertake relevant training on Beazley policies and procedures as delivered by your line manager, the Talent Management development or assurance teams (compliance, risk, internal audit) either directly, via e-learning or the learning management system.
  • Comply with any specific responsibilities necessary for your role as outlined by your line manager, the Talent Management development or assurance teams (compliance, risk, internal audit) and ensure you keep up to date with developments in these areas. This may include, amongst others, Beazley\'s underwriting control standards, Beazley\'s claims control standards, other Beazley standards and customer relationship management.
  • Ensure that you uphold the Beazley principle of Treating Customers Fairly.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as individually notified, either through your objectives or through the learning management system.These may include, among others, European Strategy Team, US Management team or membership of any Beazley committees.

Personal Specification:

Education and Qualifications

  • University degree in any discipline
  • Mathematics to \'A\' level, or equivalent

Skills and Abilities

  • Highly quantitative with a mathematical background
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills. Some coding experience preferable

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience in an investment management environment
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg will be beneficial
  • Extensive experience of data management
  • Experience producing management information for a variety of stakeholders
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office, Excel and SQL databases
