Soter Professional Services manages ancillary insurance products for the broker, insurer and affinity markets. This role is based in our office in Norwich, Norfolk. You must live within a commutable distance, preferably within 20 miles of our office.


What will you do as our
Junior Data Analyst?

As you gain more experience in this Junior Data Analyst role, your responsibilities will grow to include assisting in the development of new reports and aiding in the design and testing of system developments. Duties include:

  • Managing and distributing daily/weekly/monthly reports
  • Assisting in the creation of new daily/weekly/monthly reports
  • Data cleansing of SQL database to ensure data is as accurate as possible
  • Management of office wallboards that provide our agents with key information
  • Aiding in the design of system developments
  • Analysing, manipulating, and interpreting data to provide information that aids company decision making
  • Identifying areas for improvement and reporting these to managers
  • Assisting in testing of new system developments


Who are we looking for?

You will have a Degree in a highly numerate field (maths, sciences, computer science), or a strong interest and understanding of computer science with good numerical and analytical skills. You should also have:

  • Good knowledge of Word, Excel (Pivot tables + V-Lookups)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL is a bonus but not necessary
  • Basic knowledge of Power Query is a bonus but not necessary
  • Familiarity with Tableau/PowerBI helpful but not necessary
  • Basic knowledge of any programming language
  • A strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple tasks
  • Experience working with large data sets
  • Good attention to detail
