The Lead Data Analyst will be responsible for leading a team of Data Analysts, taking the customer handbook, and developing mapping, migration, and validation routines together to ensure successful data implementations. This will include ensuring successful data integration between internal and external systems too.

Despite being a well-established international company, they are currently going through massive growth and are looking to expand its data divisions significantly.

Key areas of responsibilities -

The Lead Data Analysts' main responsibility is to ensure the successful delivery of a piece of work that requires data management, inclusive of the creation of the customer handbook, of data mapping, and migration routines to ensure a successful loading of customer legacy data into the target system. The data management can be through a new customer onboarding or upgrade/migration as a result of a move to new technology or version upgrade. Initially, the role requires a minimum of 18 months' commitment.

The successful candidate will -

  • Work effectively with all team members and customers
  • Showcase a customer satisfaction and success mindset at all times
  • Oversee the successful completion of the assigned aspects of project work as it relates to data management
  • Is able to exercise independent judgment, and lead sizable task assignments with minimal direction
  • Is able to effectively facilitate meetings, demonstrate brainstorming / consensus-building skills
  • Create detailed functional specification documents
  • Confidently run the data management team in helping the project manager deliver the overall program
  • Helps ensure project and architecture governance, escalate, and seeks approval
  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel, SQL, and advanced analytical skills
  • A genuine interest in coding and learning to the extent required (NB: you are not expected to be a programmer but need to be able to work through issues using Excel, Power BI, and Python)

Required experience -

  • Experience in requirements Analysis and Definition
  • Fluent in SQL, data profiling, and analysis
  • Experience in Data Migration
  • Business Process Identification, Analysis, and Data Modelling
  • Ownership and eliciting client requirements into Configuration Workbooks
  • Adhere to Product Architecture and Design Best Practices
  • Experience working with developers and external clients
  • Experience with Cloud Solutions and RDBS
  • Experience and working knowledge of integration technologies such as batch processing
  • Experience designing financial applications that are compliant with differing financial regulations and rules
  • Proven experience-designing modifications to existing systems, designing reusable components, and elimination of redundancy in designs.
  • Basic competence in at least one programming language (e.g. JavaScript, Java, etc.)
  • Ability to create Data Models and Data Structure Design, and experience using SQL to verify the design
