Market Data Analyst, Asset Management, Investment Management, Bloomberg, MSCI, FTSE, MDSL.
Our client is an Asset Management company and is looking for a Market Data Analyst. In this role the successful candidate will act as a custodian of data, by managing the workflow throughout the data life cycle - from acquisition, delivery, administration, and monitoring usage compliance.
Key responsibilities:
- Engage with the business and provide a direct point of contact for market data related matters.
- Oversee and manage RLAM's market data vendor relationships.
- Work closely with the Data Management, Data Governance, Change and Technology teams providing market data subject expertise for RLAM's change initiatives.
- Administer RLAM's central repository for Market Data licences and expenditure, ensuring existing services are documented and invoices are tracked to the MTP for Data Management.
Experience Required:
- Proven knowledge of Market Data - experience with Bloomberg, FTSE, MSCI
- Experience in market data inventory software - such as MDSL, FITS
- Experience of reading and understanding market data vendor contracts
- Knowledge and understanding of integrated asset management business, applications, and data
- Proven experience in cost saving by negotiation with data suppliers
- Broad knowledge of market data vendors and purchasing and contract admin
- Experience of ESG market data providers (desirable)
