Job Opportunity
The main purpose of the Master Data Analyst role is to ensure the quality and integrity of Master Data across the Samworth Group of companies. A large part of the role is to act as a gatekeeper, responding to requests from the Bakeries and ensuing that agreed standards and processes are adhered to. This includes checking for inconsistencies, analyzing and resolving issues arising from data errors
Specific Areas of Role Accountability
The Master Data Analyst is accountable for the accuracy and consistency of Master Data
Key areas of responsibility:
Master Data Process and Standards
* Assist with developing and implementing processes and standards to ensure the accuracy and integrity of Master Data
* Ensure that Master Data standards, policies and processes are up to date and fully communicated to Project and Bakery teams
Ongoing Master Data Management
* Manage requests for additions and changes to Master Data, including some element of data input
* Acting as a gatekeeper, ensure that Master Data is accurate, complete and consistent
* Ensure that all Master Data requests have correct authorisation
* Follow up and resolve inconsistencies and errors, perform root cause analysis
* Liaise with business stakeholders and Group IT teams as necessary to resolve issues
* Understand Microsoft AX systems integration and diagnose issues relating to interfaces
* Carrying out standard data quality checks
* Provide advice and guidance to business leads
* Provide standard reporting based on a defined set of metrics
Continuous Improvement
* Identify areas for improvement, build and maintain a continuous improvement plan to maintain Master Data quality
The Right Person
You will be someone who is self-motivated and focussed on the customer. You will demonstrate initiative and ownership. You value others and their contribution and enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues. You will be flexible and adaptable to change. In addition, you will have the following skills:
* 1 years' experience of Master Data Administration
* Experience of using ERP systems
* Experience in diagnosing data-related issues and problems, with the ability to work through systems and interfaces to identify root cause
* Experience in Business Process Mapping, and implementing business process change
* Experience in using Data Migration tools and techniques
* Knowledge of Master Data principles
* Database Management and SQL skills
* Ideally some understanding of standard project methodology (e.g. Prince 2)
* Current Driving License essential
* Logical and methodical approach, strong attention to detail
* Good problem solving skills
* Ability to build strong working relationships across teams and businesses
* Flexible hands-on approach essential
* Ability to effectively prioritise and deliver in a high-pressure manufacturing environment
* Self-Motivated achiever who has the ability to work on own as well a part of a team
