This role will report into the Portfolio Data & Standards Compliance Group. This person is responsible for collecting, analysing, interpreting, and storing data from multiple sources including hard-copy documentation, pulling data from information systems, interviewing SME's, and other means necessary to achieve project goals. This position requires an individual with a deep understanding of GS1/GDSN, EUDAMED, GUDID, UDI as well as Medical Devices and the relevant data definitions. This position requires advanced data management and analysis skills, with a particular emphasis on advanced MS Excel usage. Must be detail-oriented, proactive, adaptable and a fast learner. Must have the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
• Pull and integrate data from disparate sources (paper-based and electronic), evaluate this data for completeness/accuracy/fitness for purpose, then convert this data into its final needed format for storage.
• Paper-based data collection: Collect and interpret paper-based documentation: ability to read Declarations of Conformity, Medical Device technical files, Instructions for use, CE certificates, Labels and other hard-copy documents, identify the relevant data, extract that data, evaluate for fitness for purpose, then convert this data into its final needed format for storage.
• Electronic system-based data collection: Identify target systems to acquire data from, identify the relevant data, extract that data, evaluate for fitness for purpose, then convert this data into its final needed format for storage.
• Conduct data collection across many global and local disciplines and functional areas.
• Establish a thorough understanding of in-scope product master data attribution. Support data profiling, normalization, and data quality efforts.
• Conduct data collection activities across multiple functions - driving progress, consolidating inputs, checking quality of the received data, and resolving issues.
• Track progress of data collection and verification and enter the data into the established repository.
• Identify inconsistencies and patterns in available product master data.
• Inform the Portfolio Data and Standards Compliance Team regarding issues reported by business units related to data availability, caveats and limitations.
• Contribute and support the project manager towards successful delivery of projects.
• Works with the project manager on the product master data loads into the source systems once product master data is collected and certified in the staging environment.
• Prepare and present status, briefings and other communications required to support the job functions listed above, focused on PDSC team members and peers.

Location:
Flexible / Remote. UK-based.
Education:
Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
• 7+ years as an analyst or data analyst in engineering, regulatory, supply chain, commercial, or other life sciences - preferably with strong knowledge of UDI and related medical device regulations related to data management
• Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry, particularly with US FDA UDI or related initiatives.
• Very strong analytical skills, focused on data management, profiling, and mass cleansing.
• Very strong data management tool experience--mandatory to have high proficiency with Excel; additional tool expertise such as MS Access, SQL, Tableau, Informatica, or other such tools is highly desirable.
• Very strong experience working with product master data is highly desirable
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams in a global environment
