Based in Sunbury on Thames, (although mainly home based working) this established Motor Insurance provider is looking to recruit an MI Data Analyst to work in their busy MI team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate looking to progress their career in a management information role, with a mathematical focus and logical approach to problem solving. The primary focus of the role is production and development of MI data (within a predominantly motor insurance environment) for internal and external reporting.

As an MI Analyst you will produce various MI reports and data for underwriting, pricing, claims including fraud, regulatory and quantitative analysis. Using and developing existing software including SQL and WPS (SAS equivalent) to create and develop appropriate benchmarking reports.

Of high priority in this role would be to assist in the design and automation of standard reports via the insurance software system. Reporting is required to fulfil requirements for financial, regulatory and board data in addition to standard KPIs.

Principle Responsibilities

* Use and develop existing software including SQL and WPS (SAS equivalent) to create and develop appropriate benchmarking reports.

* Production of MI reporting for quantitative analysis of company data.

The role will involve writing and understanding SQL and SAS scripts to ensure demands for information are met and delivered within agreed timescales. A high level of autonomy within the role means that self-motivation is the key to achieving relevant goals.

Required Skills

* Highly mathematical with a logical approach to problem solving

* Some experience in a similar MI Analyst / Data Analyst role

* Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft packages

* Experience in SQL or WPS (SAS) programs

* Ability to present data accurately and well

* Deadline focused

* Meticulous

* Aptitude for IT

This is predominantly a home based role however you will be expected to attend the office in Sunbury approximately once a week.

Salary is £25,000 - £30,000 + Benefits + Pension.
