Description:

Payroll Data Analyst is responsible to lead on managing the overpayment process for all employees and ex-employees. The Payroll Data Analyst will be responsible with all the administrative procedures associated with overpayment. They will coach and train the team members to bring up to standard. Payroll Data Analyst will work closely with Payroll Team Leader to ensure our entire end to end process is robust.

Working with Payroll Team Leader to identify areas of overpayment improvements
Keeping up to date with current best practice applicable to your service area or process specialism and make recommendation for improvement
Participating in a culture of continuous improvement/change within and across the teams, seeking to improve services, performance, data, and stakeholder feedback
Making sure overpayment deduction from employee pay is inputted on system and ensuring it is consistent with agreed levels
Raising invoices
Compiling gross overpayment breakdowns and calculations of net overpayments, update the overpayment database
Dealing with queries from customers both internally and externally via phone or in person
Working within the guidelines of West Sussex County Council policies and procedures
