Working within the Digital Transformation Team and reporting to the Power Platform Analyst, we have an exciting opportunity for someone who is all about data analysis and the experience and understanding for the end user.

You will have experience working with Power BI and knowledge of other Power Apps within the MS suite would be desirable.

You will be working on key projects throughout the business, supporting the IT Solutions Team to capture, process and analyse data sets from a variety of sources and develop the visualisation of accurate data ready to share.

Key responsibilities:

  • Contribute substantively to the development of dashboards/reports in Power BI
  • Regularly collect and structure data - combining information from different sources
  • Compile data glossary and support continuous data governance improvement
  • Provide support to ensure reporting requirements are met with timely, relevant, triangulated and well analysed data
  • Conduct data cleaning and quality audits to validate that the data collected is accurate
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, project systems and processes, including those related to safeguarding, security and legal matters (eg GDPR)
  • Prepare meaningful reports and perform other monitoring and evaluation tasks as needed
  • Undertake any other responsibilities that further contribute to Excelcare business plans, as required

Person specification:

  • Ability to understand and draw data flows, organise and analyse sizable amounts of data, performing required transformations in the query editor
  • Experience querying and modelling data in SQL
  • Experience building Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Working knowledge of DAX
  • High-level ability or genuine willingness to work with SharePoint and PowerApps
  • Ability to use data analysis and visualisations to identify and communicate insights
  • Collaborate within teams and contribute to creative problem solving
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to a high standard
  • Passion for tackling complex challenges, and dedication to affecting meaningful change
