Orion Group Life Sciences have an exciting opportunity for a Product Master Data Analyst for our Multinational Medical Device client in Hertfordshire, on an initial 6-month contract.

Product Master Data Analyst

Position Summary

This is a vital analyst position responsible for creating, auditing and governance of the product master data across many Smith+Nephew systems.
The key objectives for this position will focus on product master data management, product master data governance, product master data standardization, improved product data accuracy and reliability as well as improved turnaround times and reporting.
The role will also involve work supporting business users of other systems and/or reporting using various business intelligence tools.
This role will liaise directly with manufacturing sites, global functions, and various markets to fully understand data requirements behind product master data creation and maintenance.
Will be accountable for running reports, creating data audits, cleanse data, run validations and create rules to ensure the integrity of the product master data.
This role will coordinate activities associated with data cleansing for integrations and acquisitions.
Must be Self-driven and can work as a part of geographically- distributed teams.
Ready to roll up your sleeves and get the job done with minimal oversight.

Education:
Bachelors degree required
Masters degree preferred

Licenses/ Certifications

Data Management and / or Data Governance certifications nice to have

Experience

5+ Years of Applied Experience
Data Analysis within Business or Technology with a preference in PRODUCT MASTER DATA
Experience with product lifecycle management
Exceptional analytical skills; an ability to apply conceptual models, recognize patterns, draw and defend conclusions
Experience working with ERP systems, PLM systems, PIM systems
Experience with data audit and governance
Experience with checking for data standards
Experience of data quality measurement and management.
Critical Thinking
Superb communication skills
Strong Ms Excel and Power BI
