Description:

The Reporting Data Analyst is part of a team that is responsible for sourcing and inputting financial data that is used subsequently by credit analysts. This role requires excellent SQL and Python skills to transform large quantities of data into meaningful insights for stakeholders across the organisation.

Description

Working in a team of two, your role will be varied and include:

Building a new reporting structure using modern data visualisation tools
Perform detailed requirements gathering, analysis and definition, with key stakeholders to understand data-related problems and design fit-for-purpose solutions
Understand content needs and business challenges, data validations and data governance
Question requirements to separate business-critical elements from nice-to-have, whilst seeking efficiencies, consistency and streamlined solutions
Provide technical knowledge and expertise to assist with business challenges, queries and client support
Develop robust supporting documentation, ensure effective change management and version control
Ensure proper and thorough testing of any code and reporting output
Collaborate closely with Content Managers, Product Owners, Outsource Providers, IT, Network Operations, agile tribes and squads across all functions and content sets
Ensure all project-related work stream tasks are delivered against agreed deadlines, and regular updates provided to management and programme and project leadsProfile

Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience
Experience working with data visualisation tools
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
Aptitude for translating client and business requirements into detailed deliverables
Ability to identify and implement improvements to processes
Proven ability and experience working with relational databases (SQL and non-SQL), large datasets and complex database systems
Financial reporting
Knowledge and understanding of how financial data quality affects business decisions
Ability to balance multiple tasks in parallel and prioritise effectively
Strong interpersonal, organisational and written and verbal communication skills
Competent user of Python and SQLJob Offer
