We're looking for a driven and passionate individual to join us at Which? as a Senior Data Analyst.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to our Head of Economics, you will provide statistical analysis of primary and secondary data to improve Which?'s understanding of UK consumers and the harms they experience.

You will be given the autonomy to explore different methodologies and develop innovative research to support our purpose of championing consumers. We have ambitious plans for the team, and your work will contribute to increasing our ability to tackle consumer harm and influence positive change for consumers.

You will also:
  • Identify and propose policy research projects to support Which?'s strategic objectives
  • Produce high quality and impactful statistical analyses on a wide range of consumer issues
  • Report results and recommendations in a clear and understandable way to internal and external audiences
  • Identify, propose and drive improvement in team processes, including mentoring and supporting junior members of the Strategic Insight team
  • Proactively establishing positive relationships with colleagues across Which? And external stakeholders
  • Contribute support and advice on elements of primary research design

What you will bring

You will have:
  • Degree in relevant subject with significant statistical, econometric or data science component or equivalent experience
  • Substantial experience of advanced quantitative analysis and proven ability to create insight through intelligent and robust analysis
  • Significant experience in use of R and one other specialist analytical software package (e.g. SPSS, Stata) for data analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven experience of producing data visualisations
  • Experience of using data visualisation tools such as Infogram, Tableau or Mapbox
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to delivering analytical outputs of the highest quality
